InterFace - New Open Source Social Network as Chat Messenger Addon for
Web Browser Dooble
InterFace 1.2.0 has been released. This is the first initial christmas release.
InterFace is a new open source social network with an Instant Chat Messenger.
You can install and test it with Friends as an Addon for the Dooble
It features IRC-Like Groupchat, Email Messages, a Forum Board and
personal 1:1-Chat.
A Event-Wall shows with a timeline any new event happening.
To connect with a friend, both friends need to exchange and enter
their Messenger-Key.
New friends can as well picked up from the social network over the
context menu.
That makes InterFace a preferred Social Network for groups like school
classes or university course students to find
new friends on the campus within their Friends of Friends. Due to the
open source character of the social network
"InterFace.sf.net" there is no tracking of users as in other services.
The communication is encrypted by default.
The roadmap foresees for the upcoming next release to be able to play
online chess with friends listed in the
messenger´s friends list. Dooble Web Browser allows to start the
integrated InterFace Chat Messenger within every
Session from the Addons-Menu. Users define, to chat in a pop-Up window
or within a tab of the browser. While surfing
within the browser, new arrival of chat messages are highlighting.
InterFace has been released for several Operating Systems: Windows,
Linux, Fedora, Mandriva, OpenSuse, Ubuntu. Mac OSX
is scheduled. It is written in c++ and uses the Qt & lib-rs Framework.
The Addon is installed into the environment of
the Dooble Web browser.
