Hot Fix for resolving some virtual keys malfunctioning in full QWERTY keypad mode in HTC Touch Viva - When searching through Contacts by using the onscreen full QWERTY keypad, the phone will automatically dial out the first contact person when you type the letter "R". When typing the letter "W", an "*" will be placed after it (shows "W*"). When typing an "X", a "#" will be placed after it (shows "X#"). If you encounter this problem, install this hot fix to resolve the problem.
Note: This hot fix can only be applied in ROM version 1.27.XXX.XX or previous.
Copy the hot fix, which is an .exe file, to your device. To install the hot fix, tap the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions.
If you perform a hard reset of your device, you need to reinstall the hot fix after the hard reset.
