Each entry is stamped with the date and time it was made, and can be assigned a category and subject. At the end of the day you can export your entries to a single text file for easy transfer to the desktop.
Business Journal has flexible search tools, so that it is easy to find the entry where you discussed widget production problems with John. You can filter your search list by any category or subject, as well. Categories are user defined, and you can create as many as you need.
