SymNAS is essentially a self-contained Symbian implementation of the Network-Attached Storage with the sole purpose of supplying file-based data storage services to other devices on the network. SymNAS 1.00 provides the functionality of data storage, file systems, and access to files, and the management of these functionalities.
You don't need to have much knowledge about setting up network shares or permissions. Initial auto configuration will do everything for you. Big icons will give you better experience with touch panel devices (like Nokia N97 or MX5800). 3 auto connect options will help you make your phone accessible from your computer right when you need it.
SymNAS 1.00 utilizes industry standard network protocols to provide file server functionality, so you do not need to install anything on your computer. If you would like to access your phone from another Symbian S60 device then on that device could be used Telexy Network Commander.
Note: this software is also available as part of Telexy Network Commander.
To compliment SymNAS you may consider to try the another software from Telexy.com, each software product is unique for Series 60 phones! SymSync - Simple, but powerful File and Folder Wireless Synchronization between phone and computer. SymPlayer - The only MP3 player that can play files directly from your computer. SymVPN - Secure your mobile phone with the only PPTP VPN client available on S60 platform. Telexy Network Commander - The most powerful Network Software Collection for Symbian S60 based phones. It contains 5 (FIVE!) famous Telexy products integrated into one application with Telexy Network Browser added for extra flavour! SymRDP for S60 5th - Remote access from phone to computer.
