ZoomIt - This free/ad-supported tool is a virtual magnifying for your phone. It works great for those times when you need to read the fine print or text that is simply too hard to read. It also includes a function to smartly brighten or darken an image.
Simply snap a picture and use pinch zooming to zoom in. If the picture is too dark (because you snapped the picture and didn't want the entire room to know that you can't read something), you can click the lighten button and it will enhance the photo by brightening the shadows in the picture. If somehow the picture was too bright, click the darken button, and darken the brighter areas of picture.
