Rubix Matrix is a bit like the well known puzzle Rubik''s cube. However, the differences outnumber the similarities.
The board is a matrix with six rows and six columns. On this board 36 tiles are displayed, 6 tiles of each color (there are six different colors). Your task is to rearrange the tiles so that each column (or row) only contains tiles of one of the six colors. When all columns (or rows) are correct, you will advance to the next level, which is a bit more tricky than the previous one.
You rearrange tiles by pressing the green arrow buttons. For example, if you press the downwards pointing button in the first column from the left, all tiles but the last (the one at the bottom of the column) will be moved one step downwards. The tile at the bottom of the column will be moved to the top of the column.
The tiles are moved similar to this when moving a column upwards or a row to the left or to the right.
There are two modes in which the game can be played: With time limit: Each level has a time limit within which the puzzle has to be solved. When the time limit is exceeded the game will be over. For each second left in the time limit when the level is completed you will get bonus points. Without time limit: There are no time limits so you may take as long time as you wish to solve each level. Of course, no time bonus will be awarded when completing a level in this mode.
For each level completed you will be awarded 100 points plus the possible time bonus. If you restart a level, which will give you a new chance, 10 points will be taken from your score. For every 10 moves more than the ideal number of moves on each level, 1 point will be taken from your score, regardless of which mode is played. Hence, your score may be negative from time to time...
