Bad Code Generator is useful for tech support people who must give out registration codes to users via their HotSync name. Just send them the "BadCodeReg.prc" file, and have them run it. The program will create a memopad entry which the user just needs to HotSync into Palm Desktop, then cut/paste it to a e-mail sent back to the tech support person.
This memopad entry has their HotSync name, length of the name, and a DATA CODE of the ascii values of the characters in the HotSync Name.
Supplied in this package is sample code (DecodeName_Sample.c) which you can use to easily re-create the HotSync name via the code sent in.
Now you will have the exact HotSync name on the user's pda, and be able to send them the correct code.
