kCalc calculates fractional measurements and returns answers in standard cup and spoon measures. Accurate to an eighth of a teaspoon, kCalc is the only kitchen calculator available which displays results in whole standard cooking measurements. kCalc features a cool kitchen timer and a reference table of equivalent measurements (eg: 1 Tbsp = 3 tsp) that you can edit and add your own equivalents to.
How kCalc works: Say you have a recipe that calls for 1 1/8 cups of flour. If it serves four and you want to halve the recipe, most kitchen calculators would tell you to use 0.5625 of a cup. kCalc will give you an answer that you can actually measure out: 1/2 Cup + 1 Tbsp.
An excellent chef's tool for scaling your favorite recipies for any size feast. Easy and useful, kCalc is fully-functional, non-expiring shareware. Please register if you wish to use it past the 30 day trial period.
