Cipher is an application that lets you encrypt every text field's usable text with the very strong IDEA algorithm by Ascom.
First of all, CipherDA is a DA version of Cipher. Cipher is a program that lets you encrypt every text field's usable text (e.g. DateBook appointments, Expense report items, complete MemoPad notes) with the very strong IDEA algorithm by Ascom.
There are a couple of benefits of Cipher compared to every other encryption program on the Palm. The most important one is that you can encrypt virtually anything. The next most important benefit is that it was developed in Germany and so the brain-dead export restrictions (that have been lifted but nobody in the US was told about that apparently) don´t apply. IDEA is a strong 128-bit encryption scheme that has not yet been broken.
The benefit of CipherDA compared to the standard app version of Cipher is that you can invoke it very fast and without leaving the application you are working with. Just use Swipe as your DA launcher and you´ll see how fast and easy it is.
Don´t rely on the built-in security of the PalmOS platform. This is only a simple mechanism to protect your employer from accidentally viewing your private data that you might have stored on a company-owned Palm device. You can "hack" this security within seconds. Use Cipher or CipherDA and your private data stays private.
"CipherDA":
Small (7K)
Free - comes with sources
128-bit IDEA encryption.
Copies the marked text automatically into CipherDA. No explicit Clipboard use necessary.
Automatic fallback: if you decrypt a text you encrypted with an old version of this program, CipherDA will detect this.

PRCExplorer PRCExplorer - Using this tool you can open any PRC file and navigate into it. You can see individual resources, graphically display Forms and Alerts, Bitmaps, Fonts, ... This is useful to debug and develop your application as well as analyzing PRCs
Code68Dis Code68Dis - A Handheld 68k disassembler for the Palm.
You will use this software at your own risk.
Code68Dis is 'tap-aware'.
This means that you may alter the screen contence by (one or more) taps
Z47 Virtual Processor Z47 Virtual Processor - allows you to run Z++ applications that are created with Z++ Visual. (Z++ Visual is an all-in-one development tool that requires no confusing SDK's, API's, or emulators
pdbc (PDB Compiler) pdbc (PDB Compiler) - a compiler than converts a source file into a Palm DataBase file (PDB file).
The language the pdbc compiler understands is designed to be easy to understand und write.
Yet it is powerful enough to give the freedom to describe the binary content of the database records in a variety of ways
Save To Host Save To Host - allows developers to save text from this PRC to a file on the host machine; or to read text from a file on the host machine into this PRC.
This must run in the PalmOS Emulator (POSE) and is very much a developer tool
NewBie - numfld NewBie - numfld includes a copy of "Hello World" liked source code about set/get number (real number) from/into a field.
To all newbie Palm programmers, please enjoy your first step on Palm programming.
What's New in This Release:
· Recompiled due to bug from prc-tool 2.0.
· Renamed from "text/float conv." to numfld
Palmphi Palmphi is a Windows desktop tool for visual design and PalmOS code generation.
The main features are:

Quartus Forth Quartus Forth - Since 1997, Quartus Forth is the original on-board ISO/ANSI Standard Forth compiler for Palm OS handheld computers. Quartus Forth is fast, and builds genuine native executables that need no 'run-time' libraries.
Forth is a perfect fit for the handheld screen, and Quartus Forth makes programming the Palm OS simple
Dragon FORTH build Dragon FORTH is a fast 32-bit FORTH system for PalmOS 2.x-6.x. It allows programming directly on the PalmOS device
B2C4Palm - Free BASIC Compiler B2C4Palm - Free BASIC Compiler - B2C is a Free BASIC-to-C Compiler for the Palm Computer. As the name implies, B2C converts BASIC code into C code for compilation by the C compiler. This makes B2C a very lean and simple compiler
