MDRD - A must for medical students rotating on nephrology or anyone wishing to have the most accurate estimate of GFR.
MDRD calculates GFR from the serum creatinine using the revised quadratic MDRD equation from Rule,AD, Annals of Internal Medicine 2004;141:929-936.
This equation has been found to be substantially more accurate than the original MDRD equation and the Cockoff and Gault equation.
