MemHog tries to fill up your Pilot's database memory until only the amount of free memory that you specify is left.
It isn't always quite exact, but serves its purpose, which is to allow programmers to test their applications under low-memory conditions.
The top of the screen displays:
Total memory. The amount of RAM on your Pilot available for database storage.
Free Memory. The amount of free RAM available for database storage.
Without Memhog. Approximately how much memory would be free if Memhog weren't using any.
At the bottom of the screen is:
Target Free Mem. Enter here the amount of free RAM you would like for MemHog to leave.
Set Target. Press this to make MemHog attempt to use up all but the amount of memory that you specified.
Set Max Free. Press this to cause MemHog to release all of its memory.
As with any utilty that stresses your PalmPilot, please be careful. Many applications do not handle low memory situations very well, and can cause nasty errors.

Supported operating systems:
Palm OS 3.x, Palm OS 4.x, Palm OS 5.x
Similar Software:
Benchmark Benchmark measures your Palm Powered handheld's speed and bus bandwidth utilization, and shows how your device measures up relative to other models -- and it does so quite accurately.
Benchmark works on all Palm OS connected organizers. It was developed entirely on-board a Palm handheld using the Quartus Forth compiler
Mergic Ping Mergic Ping is a Palm OS implementation of the UNIX PING program.
It was written as a support tool for Mergic VPN but, since it is generally useful for testing TCP/IP connections, it is being released as a free program.
Features:
The host to ping can be specified as an IP address or DNS name
PalmOS Benchmark Use this simple benchmarking application to determine how fast your PDA is
SamplePat This simple palmware displays 2, 4 and 8 bit color pattern. Use this pattern to adjust contrast
FindTester FindTester is a tool that identifies 3rd party applications that crash the handheld during a global find process (a global find is executed each time the magnifying glass, i.e. the find button on the silkscreen area is tapped)
LCD Analyzer LCD Analyzer - allows you to check the quality of Palm LCD.
It can be used for inspecting for dead pixels or dust on your Palm LCD.
A dead pixel is a dot that is not the same color as the rest of the screen.
Color and high resolution devices are supported.
This software only supports Palm and Sony devices with Palm OS version v3.5 or above
Calibrator Calibrator - If your device has suffered a breakage you will have to replace the screen. However, it's not always possible to make the replacement quickly
yCPUBench yCPUBench is a benchmarking utility to measure the speed and performance of your Palm OS handhelds CPU.
yCPUBench can measure an OS 5 handhelds native ARM CPU's performance using ARM-pnolets, as well being able to measuring 68k (PACE emulated) performance for comparison. Includes floating point math performance (megaflops) and memory bandwidth tests
Card Speed (Palm OS) Card Speed (Palm OS) tests the Read / Write speed of a PDA with any SD Card. You will be much happier with your PDA / Smartphone if it is responsive. An SD Card that Writes / Reads fast is part of a good experience. Any file movement to and from the Card is affected. Applications that are data intensive, like audio and video, are most affected
Stylus Pilot Stylus Pilot - drag a crosshair target across the screen with the stylus in order to display the digitizer error.
If the user considers the error to be too large, the app exits to System Prefs with "p" in order to re-calibrate.
If recalibration is not considered necessary, the offset is still useful in aiming the stylus at buttons, text positions, etc
