· Use red light for night vision. Red light does not affect the dark adapted eye
StayOn for Fossil WristPDA StayOn prevents the backlight from automatically turning off after 10 seconds of inactivity
Lightswitch for Palm Lightswitch for Palm is a software control for switching the backlight off and on.
This is faster and easier than holding down the power button.
For PDA's not fitted with a backlight, it lets you adjust the brightness.

Backlight On Backlight On will turn on the backlight of your m505 every time you turn your Palm on.
Backlight On differs from the "official" Palm app in several ways:
-There is never any user interface. It just works, and doesn't need to be configured.
- It is much smaller (under 1Kb).
- It turns on the backlight everytime the m505 is turned on
