BCMathBrix is a math exercise game for kids. The setting is a wall consisting of brix arranged in a triangle (the number of brix can be set in the preferences: it's either 3, 6, or 10), while some brix bear numbers and others are empty. The goal is to fill the missing numbers into the emtpy brix so that the numbers in every pair of adjacent brix add up to the number in the brick on top of them. To check whether the entered numbers are correct, the child can tap the smiley near the top of the screen: if it smiles, all numbers are correct, if it makes a sad face, one or more numbers are wrong.
Numbers are entered without the use of Graffiti strokes: to fill a number into a brick, the child first taps the brick (which is then marked by an yellow border) and then taps on the desired number on a mini keyboard near the bottom of the screen (which features the numbers from 1 to 30).
The game has a lot of preferences that can be set to adjust the game to the child's abilities: (a) you can choose the number of brix (3, 6, or 10); (b) you can set the maximum number to be used in the game (up to 30); (c) you can select whether the walls are set up in a way that only additions are necessary or that additions as well as subtractions are necessary; (d) you can allow/prohibit tapping of the smiley before all empty brix are filled; (e) you can select if the palm indicates which brix are wrong; (f) you can allow/prohibit going to a new wall before the current one is completely and correctly solved; (g) you can turn on a mode in which the brix are checked automatically (i.e., without tapping the smiley).
These preferences can be individually saved for up to 4 players. A player name can be entered, which appears in the intro screen where you select the player.
Game operation is very robust: Once the main screen is opened there are no setup buttons and no menus, so as long as the child keeps the pen on the screen, there's nothing that can accidentally happen that only a parent could fix.
