FASTerm Mobile for Palm - Fasterm Mobile for Palm is a T27 terminal emulator providing access to Unisys ClearPath Plus MCP servers.
FASTerm Mobile supports Wireless, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth networking capabilities and is compatible with third party VPN packages. FASTerm Mobile uses standard TCP/IP and Telnet to establish a connection to the mainframe. Both Unisys TCP/IP and Upstanding's LANwise TCP/IP mainframe networking stacks are supported.
FASTerm supports the full range of terminal escape sequences so full compatibility with ClearPath applications is assured. Screen data entry can come from the soft keyboard, grafitti, or your Palm thumboard if so equipped.
FASTerm supports user assignment of terminal functions, such as transmit, line transmit, etc., to the Palm application and navigation buttons for customized operation. Fonts supported are 80 and 40 column high res fonts, and 40 and 32 column low res fonts, depending on your display capabilities. Two terminal display pages are supported.
FASTerm Mobile for Palm is the newest member of the FASTerm family of emulation products used by thousands of users for more than a decade.
FASTerm Mobile for Palm requires Palm OS 3.5 or later. Typical Palm handhelds supported include the PalmOne Tungsten, Zire, and Treo 600 models, SONY Clie models, and many others. To reach your mainframe, your Palm must be equipped with a network communication capability, such as Wi-Fi, Wireless, or Bluetooth.
