PDA Protector is a software solution which protects your shareware products. There is a growing community of Palm "warez" from which anyone can download registration keys, serials, and "cracked" versions of your application for free. PDA Protector works by encrypting the code 1 resource of your Palm application, preventing others from disassembling and reverse engineering it. On top of the encryption, a checksum is maintained which stops "crackers" from modifying your program. PDA Protector is completely transparent, simply run the Windows application on any Palm PRC, and PDA Protector will be installed. You can then distribute this application to the public, without any additional software. When the end user launches PDA Protector, the encrypted code is decrypted into memory on the fly and executed. Because the decryption routine is highly optimized, there is little to no delay in speed. At no point is your decrypted code written to storage, further protecting it. PDA Protector adds only 512 bytes to the size of your application, making it barely noticeable. PDA Protector works with all OS versions, from 1.0 through 5.2.1 and almost all Palm applications. This is especially useful for tools such as PDA Toolbox because all applications created with it can be cracked with the same code. PDA Protector will work with all compilers and languages.
Certain applications that have multiple code segments will crash when using PDA Protector, please test your programs with the demo version before registering!
