Pitch Gauge gives “the degree of roof slant stated in inches rise per foot”. There are a few ways you could use your Pitch Gauge. Here are just a few.
1.Set your device on its side, directly on the roof.
2.You can set your device against the soffit. It’s usually the same slope as roof.
NOTE: The first way is not recommend unless you have the proper equipment and are properly trained to climb a roof.
AWESOME FEATURE:
Calibration: If you think your Pitch Gauge is even a little off, all you have to do is “Calibrate”. The calibration process zeros in your Pitch Gauge to the leveled surface you set it on.
**To calibrate your device please set your device on a level surface on it's side. Hold still then press and hold the Calibration Button. The count down will begin and end when the Calibration process is completed.
