Pre-Op Eval - This Palm PDA application is, to my knowledge, the first implementation of the new 2007 ACC/AHA pre-operative evaluation algorithm.
It is based upon the American College of Cardiology & American Heart Assoc. guideline on this topic from Sept '07. I started out writing a point of care PDA tool to assist a physician or resident by making the pre-op cardiac evaluation algorithm handy.
I soon decided that additional topics would be helpful. So I added materials from the ACC guideline along with ICSI and ACCP guidance on the topics of Perioperative Medical Therapies (i.e. periop beta blockers, etc.), Non-cardiac Testing appropriate in a presurgical evaluation (i.e. EKG, CXR, CBC, etc.), and the recommended time before surgery for patients with recent cardiac event or intervention.

PE & DVT dx PE & DVT dx - This program will walk a physician, student, or resident through algorithms for the diagnosis of DVT and PE.
Each starts with the Wells clinical criteria and then applies testing algorithm(s) to evaluate for the presence of DVT or PE. For PE the user is offered two different protocols depending on whether one has available CT or VQ & Sono for imaging
Pneumonia HAP, HCAP, CAP Pneumonia HAP, HCAP, CAP - This program will walk a physician, student, or resident through the management considerations for nearly all patients with pneumonia.
This expands upon the Community Acquired Pneumonia program by adding management algorithms for Hosp Acquired Pneumonia and HealthCare Associated Pneumonia cases
ABG & Acid-Base Evaluation Tool ABG & Acid-Base Evaluation Tool - This Palm OS application walks a clinician through a stepwise evaluation of ABG's and Electrolytes in order to assess all the acid-base disorders which may be present
Pediatric Early Warning System (PEWS) Score Pediatric Early Warning System (PEWS) Score - This is the Pediatric Early Warning System score which has been implemented in several children's hospitals and general hospitals with pediatric wards
