In the emulator front of the PSP homebrew scene, homebrew developer Zx-81 improved upon PSPBEEB and packaged a new release for the BBC Micro Emulator for the Sony PlayStation Portable. PSPBEEB version 1.1.0 carries performance improvements, support for IR keyboards, compatibility with the 3.xx custom firmwares and the PSP Slim & Lite. Other changes include:
* Display and save thumbnail images for each save state
* Add option to display fps rate
* Add a simple intro splash screen
* Analog pad can now be used in the file requester
* to move faster through the disk/state lists
* Option to prevent the blue led to be displayed when
* L or R are pressed
* All render modes use GU (smooth mode)
* Support iso8859-1 fonts in print text functions
* (might be useful to translate menus in german, french ...)
* Major bug fix in video emulation functions (psp freeze ...)
* Other bug fix and code cleaning [sic]
Interested Sony PSP owners will need to course through the bundled documentation to use the emulator packages and PSPBEEB's accompanying source code to get the BeebEm port working on their handheld. BeebEm was a UNIX-native emulator project of David Alan Gilbert back in 1994, thus it comes with conditions for would-be contributors to PSPBEEB or BeebEm.
This is the source code for PSPBEEB v1.1.0 under BeebEm licensing.
