  PSPColem

Homebrew developer zx-81 updated the homebrewed ColecoVision emulator, namely PSPColem, up to version 1.1.1. The author notes that this is will be the final version of PSPColem for the Sony PlayStation Portable. And as such, it comes with more optimizations than bug fixes, and it finally solves those framerate issues you've had with a particular game.

Thanks to jump tables implementation on the Z80 recode, there's now an overall speed improvement for the emulator. And as such, those who've had framerate issues with Antarctic Adventure will not experience the same now. zx-81 boasts that now you'll be able to run that game at 60 FPS, even if you force the PSP's clock speed to 133 MHz. It's a brag, but it's true.

There are also some user interaction improvements. The homebrew developer has added an ample share of hotkeys to streamline tasks, especially opening a package to emulate and quick-save or load from a savestate. And if you're blessed with an IR keyboard, you'll also be able to map these hotkeys to the keyboard, though PSPColem will come with default assignments for keyboard interfacing.

Other changes include a new vertical synchronization (VSync) option, an option to swap from NTSC or PAL systems, while keeping the NTSC mode clear of speed hiccups. Make sure to read the documentation for usage instructions.
