PS3 developer aldostools has provided PS3 users with a set of tools that will scan the PS3 games folder or the PS3_UPDATE folder.A  It searches for PKG files like download, content/pateches, MP4 and P3T themes.A  Then the app will store them in a PS3_EXTRA file structure which you are able to view by using a secondary XMB Bluray drive icon to help with installation of the various files.A  Aldostools also provided other tools within the download to help reduce space on external hard drives as well as the removal of unnecessary language files and also a rename tool.

Aldostools stated the following "It scans for the PKG, MP4 and P3T files copied to each game folder or its PS3_UPDATE folder, and store them under a PS3_EXTRA structure. When a game is mounted with multiMAN, there will be 2 BD icons on the XMB: one disc for the game itself and another with PKGs, MP4 and P3T. It should make it easier to install the game patches, DLC, fixes, and related videos.
