It's always a bit sad when an interesting piece of homebrew is left unfinished. It's the same with Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew developer EminentJonFrost's project, Elements, a mini-shooter with some rather quirky gameplay based around - wait for it - elements. At the very least, though, he's releasing it in an organized form, ready for another enterprising developer to finish it.
As for the reason Elements went unfinished, here's EminentJonFrost's explanation, quoted from the release post:
As it's name implies, it was based on playing with elements. I wanted my first game to be innovative somehow but didn't know how to proceed and stopped coding for so long and just.. lost interest.
Definitely sad news indeed. But for those of us who want to continue development on Elements, the game is coded completely in Lua, and be sure to mention the original developer when you release the final product, okay?

Montrob from the forums has updated released his LUA game WildSniper to version 1.52. In it, you use the D-pad to move your pointer in order to shoot enemies. The right trigger is used to fire a shot, and pressing start will exit the game
Speeder Speeder
If you like shooter games, (or maybe tinker with one that has already been coded), you might want to check out Speeder. According to gibbocool, this is a fairly simple scrolling shooter where you fly through space and dodge asteroids. The game keeps the high score for each difficulty level. The file that you can download here comes with the source code as well

Thanks to tip sent in by reader CJ (kudos!) we're happy to report that Chilly Willy has updated Doom for the PSP to version 1.4.
This homebrew, in case you're a first-time reader, is a PSP Slim port of ADoomPPC, which was in turn a port of ADoom, ported from ID Software's Linux version of the Doom FPS
