Vettefan has released his first game he has ever made for the PSP today coded in Lua. This amazes me that vettefan has worked so quickly as he only started coding this yesterday! It's called Freefall, and incase you haven't heard of the original game before, Its a game of well-timed button bashing where you have to avoid the black bars, effectively 'land' in the sky (hey, I never said it was realistic) in order to survive and reach a high score.
This is the initial release, and Vettefan has informed us that it does contain a bug at the moment, with you having to press the start button a couple times in order to continue after you collide with a bar sometimes. This does not effect the core gameplay aspect, with smooth, responsive controls supporting a great game with decent graphics. Vettefan plans to add a menu, some sound effects, and a fixing for the game over screen in future releases.
The great thing about this is that it is a pick up and play title. The controls are really simple: Just use L to move left, and R to move right. After letting go of a button you will continue to slowly "sway" into that direction (as if you were really parachuting), and pressing both L+R will slow down your falling, and steady you out. So, if you can't afford to parachute, or your just too scared, gtive this one a try. Lua Player is required.
