Homebrew developer Torch has updated Hold+ to version 2.5. This latest release sees a number of improvements that should make this power saving application much more convenient to use than before.
According to the application's release thread on the QJ.NET PSP development forums, the program now allows locking of the keypad without dropping CPU speed or changing the display as well as a change in how to turn off the display of the handheld. Here's a look at the Changelog:
* Added feature to allow normal Hold mode where only the keypad will be locked without changing the display or CPU speed. Hold ANALOG UP when turning on Hold to do this.
* The button for operating in Display Off mode has also been changed to ANALOG UP while turning off Hold.
Like all homebrew, remember to go over the documentation included with the application to avoid any problems.
