Homebrew developer Marce82 sent QJ.NET an email regarding a useful application to be used with Team M33's custom firmware 3.51 M33-5. Since this CFW was released, a lot of additions and modifications have been done to it - both by Team M33 itself and other helpful coders.
Anyway, Marce82's contribution is called Boot Recovery 3.51 M33. Just like the name implies, it allows users to execute Recovery function from the XMB without the need to restart the PlayStation Portable unit. Marce82 added that this is to be used in case of emergency like the Recovery of the Flash does not start or has been erased accidentally.
As much as we understand that you'd like to try this program immediately, we suggest first that you refer to the QJ.NET PSP Development Forum link below. The program Boot Recovery 3.51 M33 wasn't release there but it should provide you with an extensive discussion about the custom firmware.
