When ADePSP's DevHook: ScreenVideo Capture Module Beta v0.1 came out, we all thought we've died and went to PSP heaven. And why wouldn't we? Just imagine being able to capture animated GIF clips of your favorite games, even the XMD and load animations using Booster's DevHook. Ultimate recording bliss.
However, we'd all probably be in agreement when we say, that, the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories hack's waterloo, is its inability to work with all games because of resolution problems. Well, not anymore.
Changelog:
16Bit Video Support
* The reason that some games produced purple split screen captures was because they were using 16bit display modes. Version 0.2 now supports this so works with every game we have tested. Thanks to Edison Carter for the update.
Configuration File Added
* There is now a config file
:dhkdcaptur e.ini you can use to customize how the capture module works... You can configure which button combinations do what so it is more compatible with other DevHook modules that use the same button settings... You can control what size the Advanced Video mode records in, change the delay between frames and choose if you want it to overwrite your existing capture files or not.
Installation:
* If you have Windows simply run the Install.exe file provided and follow the on screen instructions.
* If you have any problems using the Install.exe file or are a non Windows user you need to do the following:
* Copy capture.prx to the
:dhkd folder
* Copy capture.ini to the
:dhkd folder
* In each file find the line that contains screenshotbmp.prx. If you find that line then replace the whole line with, ms0:/dh/kd/capture.prx. If you can't find a line with screenshotbmp.prx in it then find the line that reads, ms0:/dh/kd/devhook.prx. After that add a new line that reads, ms0:/dh/kd/capture.prx
The complete and detailed installation and configuration instructions can be found in the Read Me text file. So say hello to Tekken: Dark Resurrection, Dynasty Warriors, Splinter Cell Essentials and World Tour Soccer Demo, because they are on SVC camera.
