  Doom for the PSP v1.1

For those of us who couldn't get enough of the Green Marine Dude's bloody adventures with the original Doom, Chilly Willy is here with the latest edition of his homebrew port of ADoomPPC for the Sony PlayStation Portable, Doom for the PSP, with version 1.1. As we all remember from the previous version, ADoomPPC is one of the more stable Doom conversions for the Amiga that has a GUI from where you can fiddle around with the game's major settings before playing.

Let's look at what's changed with this update:

v1.1 - 2007/10/29:

* Fixed problem with strafing and turning at thesame time.
* Big cleanup of the controller handling code in general.
* Added ability to disable the analog stick and to calibrate it.
* Added two forms of cheats.
* If there is no default settings file, or if the default doesn't specify the main WAD file, it now tries to set the main WAD to the shareware WAD (idiot compensator).

And as with all homebrew releases, everything you need to know regarding installation and gameplay is in the bundled readme file, so be sure to give it a once-through before doing anything else.

Snowball Wars When it rains, it pours. I know how cliche that sounds, but that's the best way to describe the current barrage of entries we're about to set loose. We now have a number from ro0kie42, and it's quite a cool one - both literally and figuratively
Biohazard 2Biohazard 2
Biohazard 2 Eskema from our forums has just released the second version of his homebrew game, Biohazard. In case you don't remember, we had covered the release of the first version a few months ago. Eskema has promised us that all those who've played his first release, you'd find this a lot different. He has changed the whole style of gameplay
Wolfenstein 3DWolfenstein 3D
Wolfenstein 3D - PSP homebrew coder Zack is back and he's got the latest update for his Wolfenstein3D port for the handheld. The game is currently at version 4.7 and has quite a lot of helpful fixes. The sound issues that have been noted before have been addressed through sound fixes applied. Also, the game loader is complete and is working nicely
Project 2Project 2
Project 2  Sonicadvance1 from our forum has released Project 2 v2. This is a tron clone game in a top-down view. It has a single player mode and a V.S. mode. In the single player mode, you will play against an AI opponent, while in the V.S. mode, the 2 human players should hold both ends of the PSP and use the buttons on the 2 sides to control
EatenEaten
Eaten  PSPownage has released a new game for the PSP. His game has the basis set on worms and birds, however I fail to see the resemblance in the in-game graphics. Basically your role as a worm (red square) is to dosge all the birds (blue square). Every bird you touch, your health goes down, once you reach 0 you die

Wolf3D v4.0 src - Zack's really working double time on his homebrew game, Wolfenstein 3D. And why not, it's certainly hot on demand, and would probably be selling like hotcakes - if indeed they were hotcakes and he did decide to sell them. Anyhow, just after coming out with version 3.0, we're now given version 3.40
