FaT3oYCG has finally released an alpha build of PSPenguin on the QJ.NET PSP Development forums. The PSPenguin homebrew app is a Lua-coded Linux shell for the Sony PlayStation Portable. There's no changelog yet, but the coder did supply a quick bug list for those who wish to give PSPenguin a spin:
* you need a music file in the music directory - music activated with the hprm
* you need a picture in the picture directory - .png or .jpg (any size even bigger than 512 x 512)
Here are the controls:
* analouge - cursor
* cross - click
* square - close current window
* select - usb
* l+r - screenshot
Most of the code used in this app is from wxpsp, FaT3oYCG's older shell release. As a shell clone, there's little to no danger of getting your PSP bricked by PSPPensguin, but it's still a good idea to be extremely careful when installing this app.
