Homebrew developer Xsjado7 has released VDrum for the PSP. Essentially a drum simulator, the creator of the program pointed out that this is very different from other simulators such as PSPRythm and PSP Kick due to the fact that each button is mapped to a different drum.
The application looks to have a lot of promise, emulating most of the functions a person would expect from a drum kit. The controls were a bit difficult to get used to at first but became second nature after a few minutes of play. The GUI is pretty basic but isn't much of a problem if you go over the controls in the Read Me file. If you plan on using this homebrew, you might want to use some headphones because the sound is a bit weak with the built in speakers of the PSP.
This is a very solid effort from Xsjado7 and one that musicians will enjoy. It makes this blogger wonder at the possibilities of this homebrew when paired up with a synthesizer (for the bass guitar) and a Nintendo DS loaded with Jam Sessions.
