When we last reported this homebrew LUA game for the PSP, TacticalPenguin (the game's developer) mentioned that if a lot of people requested to insert a picture of a bloodied-up penguin everytime they catch it, he'll make room for it in his next release. Well it looks like a lot of people asked for it.
TacticalPenguin, through our forums, has released an updated version to his sorta, like a tag game aptly titled Chase the Penguin. Now on version 1.0, we could all see that the game had its share of improvements from the first day we talked about it. In case the title didn't give you the gist of the game, what you do is catch the penguin with the crosshair and that's about it. There is also a working two-player wherein one could control the crosshair with the face pads and the other could move the penguin by using the D-pad.
For now, these are the new features you could see in this release:
* Run away mode
* New ending
* New menu system
* Timing/scoring system
The dev ain't stopping there because he has big hopes for this LUA game of his. Now, bear in mind that the guy is just starting out so you run along and play nice. Anyway, he promises to redo the in-game graphics and make the game a standalone. Plus, if you have other suggestions, feel free to comment, because who knows your request may just be granted too.
