Homebrew developer DrWho198 dropped by QJ.NET PSP Development Forum and announced the alpha version release of his first non-scrolling platformer. It was written in Lua and the coder said that he wanted to prove to everyone that the said language can create a decent game. We have to say, it seems that he has proven his point.
The homebrew game doesn't have an official name yet but its XMB icon shows that it's intended name is Chipke. Anyway, the objective of the game is for your character (which is a chick) to clear the stage of enemies. You can do so by picking up magical eggs that spawn on the platform and throwing it at them.
OF course, killing enemies will reward you with some items that will increase your points even further. The eggs which were not picked up will eventually hatched and turn into enemies (turtles, monkeys, etc). Once you've cleared the stage, all remaining eggs will be turned into gold. Pick them up before you get warped to the next level.
DrWho198 added that there's still a lot of coding to be done in this game and he intends to release a much-refine version in the future.
