Half of the duo who brought us that homebrew game, Hackers Vs. Sony, is back again with yet another interesting creation. DreaDNought informed us here at the QJ labs that he has came up with a new homebrew game called Mario Don't Drop the PSP. From the name itself, you could easily get what the game is all about- you get to play Mario and basically you need to catch some falling PSPs, if you don't catch it, say goodbye to one of your lives.
At the start of the game, you have four lives to squander. The game is pretty easy, move about the area using the left and right arrows then you just have to wait for the PSP to fall on Mario. If you're in a hunt for a game with great gfx, then don't go for this one because this one is a pretty simple game. But the obsessive-compulsive in me just can't let those poor PSPs fall, so I ended up trying to catch all them PSPs. In a way, its addicting, the only problem we had with this game is that it seems to not have a pause button, and while I am writing this article, I just lost my second life.
DreaDNought has some improvements planned for the game's next release. In his own words, he says that "right now you can only lose.. but hey there will be more lvl's and more stuff falling from the sky in the next release". He also gave us some update on Hackers Vs. Sony, "well HVS is kinda stuck.. i got a better way of gravity.. but causes more unexplainable bugs, but when the second beta is out, it's gonna rock."
Thanks again for the heads up, DreaDNought! And as always, your constructive criticisms, suggestions and other what-nots are most welcome in the comments section. Enjoy!
