PSPirates Yeah, we were wondering about that quirky little detail. Apparently the previous version of PSPirates had a little bug in it. Good thing the team was able to squash it out fast. They've released an update to their homebrew game, and as MexicanSnake says, it's pretty much the same version as the last, but now it the bug is fixed.

In PSPirates v5c, you can now access the awards that you get in the game and view them in the "Gallery" section. The previous release somehow wasn't able to show the unlockables, and now, it sort of works like a save state. Mexicansnake stresses that this is "just a bug fix release", but see, it's the type of little bug that when fixed makes the whole that that much better.
