  FlashMod

IchigoKurosaki from Orbis PSP Development has once again updated our forums with the latest release of FlashMod, a great utility for changing certain aspects of how your PSP operates. The big news about this release is that there is now a version for 1.0 and 2.0 PSPs, allowing you to increase the CPU and GPU speed of UMD games, as well as edit menu titles in the XMB.

Features for Firmware 1.00:
Load UMD's with 2.00 or higher support
Load UMD's with CPU clocked at 333 and GPU clocked at 166
Restore/Remove asura effect
Restore/Add custom backgrounds
Restore/Edit XMB menu names (Can't use PSP Menu Edit by Loco for Firmware 1.00)

xmbWave Thanks to a tip from aDcOoL, we heard about this nifty new app that allows people to hack the wave on the XMB background. It's called xmbWave, and it's made by Vulpix. xmbWave is basically a simplified hex editing tool that alters the wave on your background, and as easy as the app is to learn, it's a tough one to become an artist

Prometeus Prometeus - Image 1 Prometeus - Image 2 Operating systems Mac and Windows are like apples and oranges (Pun intended? Probably). So when it comes to using them with our dear PSP handhelds, we've got to have different homebrew applications as well. Take for example PSX2PSP from developer Kingsquitter
