It's another modchip program in the works, but this time, it's based on modifying the compatibiltiy between itty-bitty pieces of hardware inside your Wii rather than the installation of full-fledged chips. It's called OpenWii v1.2, and it's got a pretty dedicated team of modders and enthusiasts behind it.
As mentioned in the program's notes, the OpenWii modchip program works by using the compatibility between microcontrollers and pin configurations. As its notes state, you'll need the appropriate GCC tools to use this, as well as a good knowledge of code, since this was coded in C.
So far, it's also only been tested on models NTSC-DMS/ NTSC-D2B, so if you're thinking of helping these fellows out, make sure your Wii can actually use the modchip program described here. Still, version 1.2 has increased speed, and it work with Wario, so you can't say it isn't on a forward move.
In any case, you're definitely going to find more information on their official forums than what we can actually give you. Feel free to download the file from us (it's in tar.gz format though), then check out the read link below for more information.

Goofy exploit & Hello World Proof of Concept Goofy exploit & Hello World Proof of Concept
Just a little while back, Fanjita wrote a small article on the people with non-homebrew-able PSPs should do. Waiting for an exploit was the only sensible thing to do in my opinion. And boy! You guys didn't have to wait very long; the Noobz team has just come out with a new exploit which works on all firmwares upto v 3

Its a little rough around the edges but it'll do for now. I didn't have the time to implement removable drive or psp detection for this version so you have to type the drive letter, and i recommend using a capital letter

Well as the title implies, within a ridiculously short time from from Sony's 3.00 Firmware release we were welcomed by 3.01 Firmware. Naturally everyone assumed that this was a small patch. Paired releases were somewhat common in the past, so it only made sense that they left a little hole that needed immediate patching
