Homebrew developer Art is at our doorsteps today (figuratively) to inform us that there's a new version out for his X-Flash program. It would be remembered that only a couple of days ago, Art came out with v17d complete with a video tutorial. Well, since then, the developer felt like there are certain matters that needed to be addressed.
After all, it was he who mentioned, "I am always interested in correcting any repeatable problems that may be found." At any rate, the complete change log for X-Flash v17f is attached below. Among all changes, the most noticeable and important is the program's dual firmware support. The same program runs perfectly smooth on 1.50 and 2.71 SE.
For the benefit of those who (my God) are still not familiar with X-Flash, in simple terms, the application aids users to modify their PSP firmware easily. Lastly, the read me file isn't called as such for nothing. Browse through it before loading this to your PSP or better yet, do some catching up first before proceeding.
* Replaced original menu sound effects.
* Added 2x startup speed trick.
* Improved sample player to play sounds at different speeds and different sample rates.
* Menu sounds are re-sampled and more memory efficient so the program package can be smaller.
