As much as the VSHMenu of the M33 custom firmwares is already great, there are still a lot of ways to improve and customize them further. Italian homebrew developer Red_Squirrel just dropped by QJ.NET PSP Development Forum and released an application that does exactly that.
Simply known as Alternative VSHMenu, the program is currently on version 2.0. Red_Squirrel mentioned that aside from sporting all functions that can be found in the VSHMenu, this program also comes with a lot of different utilities that would make you want to try this out.
Alternative VSHMenu is currently in version 2.0. So that you'll have a good picture of its development, we're giving you the changelog for this release as well as its initial features:
* Features
o Same functions of M33 VshMenu
o Possibility to change the background color
o Possibility to activate or disactivate M33 VshMenu
o Possibility to power off, reboot, and sleep the console
o Plugin will stop PSP to avoid conflict with pad
* v2.0:
o Improved the management of the colors
o Disposition of the commands on the screen is changed
o Possibility to make screenshot of the dashboard
o Possibility to activate/disactivate the function of screenshot
o Possibility to choose the key to start the plugin!
o Possibility to choose the key to make the screenshot
o Now options will be saved, so changes will be maintained also on the reboot of the console!
o If the file or th folder of options are not found, they will automatically be created to avoid crash of the system.
Red_Squirrel added a Readme.txt file with Alternative VSHMenu containing necessary information regarding installation and usage. Be sure to broswe through that file first before doing anything to avoid problems.
