PSP coder trex6662k5 has once again added more modifications and fixes to his mod of Jonny2002's XBMC Remote Interface, . Here's a rundown of what's new in v0.7:
* Index.lua is now system.lua in system folder
* Thumbnail path is now no longer fixed
* Fixed a mistype which caused the script to crash when adding a folder to playlist
* Removed that annoying sound that played everytime you pressed a direction key
* Button to play DVD (option to automatically switch to remotecontrol after pressing)
* Button to restart XBMC (By using new left shoulder button modifier)
* Fixed the play timer so it gives you a very slightly inaccurate position of musicvideo
* Fixed the issue with getcurrentlyplaying with a Time of nil
* Left shoulder button modifier
* - holding the left shoulder button in combination with others will trigger alternative actions
* - Currently (holding left trigger)
* - Left and Right (Previous and Next, (for music, videos or picutures))
* - Up and down (on shutdown button will cycle though 2 available options, restart or shutdown xbox)
* - Cross (sync with the xbox)
* Static writing which were drawn at runtime
* - Writing which remained from V0.2 in the remote control screen
* - Writing at the top of the main screens
* - Have now been moved to the background PNGs
* - A mild performace increase
* neatened code (well in my eyes anyways) and reorganised functions and made less use of variables
* - A mild performace increase
* Reduced the length of the now playing scroller which caused most lag and timeouts if it were too long
* - A HUGE performance increase
Since a few people ran into some problems installing this, here's how you do it:
Copy the "XBMC RI 0.7" folder to
:/PSP/GAME. Now, the XBMC Remote Interface Mod v0.7 archive contains three folders: the first one is the "XBMC RI 0.7" while the other two are folders containing Eboots for firmware version 1.0 and 1.5 respectively. Depending on your PSP's firmware, copy the approriate folder to the same folder you copied "XBMC RI 0.7" to. It may complain about overwriting files due to same folder name but it will copy the required EBOOT over. XBMC's web interface must also be enabled for the app to work.

Topmenu Generator Topmenu Generator
Yesterday uberOne unleashed his Topmenu Generator on the PSP homebrew community. Topmenu Generator, in case you forgot already, generates topmenu_plugin with custom icons for the xmb. This app does not help with the flashing process of the topmenu_plugin
and requires another application such as filer or Xflash
CXMB 5.50 GEN CXMB 5.50 GEN
As its name suggests, this is a beta version. You see therefore the absence of a useful function CXMB: the list of available themes in your memory card. Indeed, in this beta version, the list is not displayed. This will be fixed soon in the final version. Meanwhile, an alternative method is possible to solve this problem

Now, he's got a few important instructions that you guys would have to take note of to fully enjoy this app
IconPack IconPack
Icons have it bad. They're just sitting there in your file explorer window, looking pretty as, well, an icon. But their life is a tough one to live. Because people (much like you or me) would rather give them a make over so that it's easier to organize stuff. Compare the before and after shots above. See?
The undead compiled a little nifty IconPack v0
Yet Another GUI for Popstation Yet Another GUI for Popstation
Is there room left in the homebrew world for Yet Another GUI for Popstation v1.0? That's what its developer, m0rkeulv, wants to know. The answer in our opinion is yes. Yet Another GUI for Popstation v1.0 is a bit different from other similar homebrew apps. m0rkeulv's app does not require the ISO in the same folder as Popstation
Rcomage Rcomage
Developer's note:
Rcomage is a general purpose RCO creation/manipulation tool.A It is designed to allow RCOs to be modified in almost any way, and intended to replace my previous application, RCO Editor.A Rcomage should also generate almost fully "compliant" resource files (very similar to original Sony RCOs)
Super Mario Soundboard Super Mario Soundboard
If you're looking for some quirky sounds to decorate your PSP with, look no further. Vermillion put up a Super Mario soundboard for people to mess around with on their handhelds.
This set concentrates on Mario sounds so don't expect a lot of the other characters' voices to be present
