Developer Zion and his team has been in and out or the homebrew scene for the last few months, but he's now back and working on several projects for the homebrew community on QJ.NET. His latest release is a nifty on screen keyboard application called Zion OSK v1.1 Beta.
The application can actually be used as an add-on for other homebrew apps, and Zion even hints that it might be used for the upcoming unnamed homebrew game he is currently working on. It was programmed using lua and was aimed at lua developers who are seeking an easy to modify and integrateable OSK into their own games or applications.
The code is pretty much open source, although Zion requests that anybody who wants to use his OSK application acknowledge him by placing a "powered by zionosk v1.0 beta" text in the program. All in all, this is one piece of work for fellow developers who want to get into the homebrew scene.
Here's the list of features Zion mentions the latest version of Zion OSK v1.1 Beta has:
* Full Character Set (Same as danzeff osk)
* Font Printing
* Character Limit
* Nice GUI (Modified Danzeff osk images)
* Easily Integratable
* Easily Modifiable
You can also check out the list of changes he's made since the previous version:
