Lua System SP1 - Image 1Developer seanpaul223 passed by the QJ.NET Forums recently to announce the release of Lua System SP1.
This homebrew is a simple Shell application for your Sony PSP. The whole setup appears to be coded in Lua, and carries these functions:
* File Browser
* Mp3 Player
* Lua Player
* Possibility to activate USB Mode through L on The Main Menu Screen
* Animated Boot screen
* Animated Credits screen
Lua System SP1 is expected to work for both the PSP Slim and PSP Fat, though you will need to have LuaPlayer HM v5 loaded in your handheld. Further details such as installation are available in the file bundle's readme. You may also want to visit seanpaul223's release thread over at the Qj.NET PSP Development Forums if you're interested in providing your feedback.

3.90 M33 Easy Installer 3.90 M33 Easy Installer
Most of us probably know how hard it is to upgrade firmware. Luckily, Lewishamilton and Stiffmeister have created an application that should simplify the process of upgrading your PSP.
They've developed the first 3.90 M33 Easy Installer program for the PSP, which should allow you to upgrade to 3.90 M33 on Windows 2000, XP and Vista machines
Firmware 2.80 Downdate for TA-079 and TA-081 PSPs Firmware 2.80 Downdate for TA-079 and TA-081 PSPs The holiday season has been one to watch out for every PSP homebrew freak. Not only have we had Dark_AleX's newly released custom firmware, but we've also been witness to an unknown (until now) in the scene who just cracked open kernel mode in firmware 2.80
Custom Firmware Extender Custom Firmware Extender
Especially tailored for the new custom firmware by M33 (a.k.a. Dark_AleX), Custom Firmware Extender at version 1.6 is almost at the point of full functionality. Almost. Homebrew developer Cpasjuste took the time to make the plugin set work "almost normally" for M33's 3.71 CFW and may exhibit some limitations in connectivity

Gameboot Path Modifer Gameboot Path Modifer
pspThere is a hot-of-the-grill homebrew application in our forums right now. Homebrew developer Kando informed us that Team FWI (composed of himself, LordSturm, Birdman and JamesBDX) just came up with the first version of Gameboot Path Modifier. This release probably trace it roots from the 2.71 EBOOT. It does exactly what that eboot does
2.71 SE-1 Customizer 2.71 SE-1 Customizer
BadBoy has taken it upon himself to work on finding ways to improve on the 2.71 SE-A customizer, which was originally eiffel56's creation. According to him, eiffel56's PSP got bricked (no apparent reason), so eiffel56 has lost some of his interest in developing this homebrew

2.80 Easy Downgrader 2.80 Easy Downgrader
It won't be too long until other devs try to help out those who will be downgrading from FW2.80 to 2.71 using 0okm's golden downgrader. As mentioned by my co-blogger Pranav, don't expect this 0okm creation to be as easy as a Dark_Alex downgrader. So with that, some devs are extending a helping hand to those who are stumped
