Media Engine MP3 Playback module for LuaPlayer 0.20 (beta)
PSP homebrew developer and QJ.Net Forum resident jsharrad - you'll probably remember the author for works like SDL-Fighter and MinerPSP - dropped by our threads earlier to announce the release of a new lua-based application. This homebrew is a Media Engine MP3 Playback module for LuaPlayer, and as its name implies, runs itself off the PSP's ME processor. Here are snippets of the author's notes:
* ID3 tags not supported yet: If your mp3 has a tag, it won't play.
* No variable bitrate mp3s yet either.
* subdirs are allowed, just use Memp3.play("subdir/filename.mp3")
* All work is done by the PSP's ME processor, and the threads created by memp3.lrx.
Usage instructions for interested users can be found in the file bundle's readme; jsharrad can also be visited via the QJ.Net Forums for further details. Given that this is still a beta release, we'll let you guys know in case jsharrad decides to update the app in the near future.
