Nielkie over at our boards is letting everybody know that his WavePool homebrew application - his very app - has just been released for your usage. This program, much like some of the other XMBwave-based apps you may be familiar with, allows users to customize the wave effects on you portable console's xmb.
While that doesn't sound too special compared to the likes of tgaWave, what makes this app unique is that it's built to run on a Linux OS, with a Mac workable version coming out soon. Given the rather limited (albeit well-made) number of custom application we've encountered, we're sure the guys here will appreciate this port - also make sure to wait up for an eventual Windows release.
As for expected tweaks in the next version:
Extract texture's from a system_plugin_bg.
Write file size index (So no file size limit)
Lastly, Nielkie is letting the guys know this app requires WINE to run (not the alcoholic drink). We advise would-be downloaders to view the README in the bundle - it may contain pointers beneficial for using this app. Once again, we thank Nielkie for his efforts, and wish him luck in making this application's next version. For now, feel free to check out the other convenient means you can customize your PSP...
