I am in awe that Zion can find the time in his busy
schedule to even code. And not just code, code with
such fervor that in July alone he has coded games
like Snake and three releases of Future Resurrection,
plus joint projects with fellow coders like
MexicanSnake for Lua Wormz and ninja9393 for Metroid:
Return of the SA-X.
And after taking a 15 minute break from coding his
"secret" game, he found time to re-code his picture
viewer application called Z-Mix. It now functions
like an automated slideshow complete with background
music. The best thing about it is that you can
customize it using your own pictures and music.
If you want to use your own pictures, make sure that
they are 480x270 in size and in .png format. Proceed
to renaming them to "slideshow1" and so on and so
forth. Changing the music would require you to use
the modplug tracker and convert the .wav file into a
.it format. After conversion, just rename it to
"bkmusic" and place it in the folder.

PSP Gallery Demo PSP Gallery Demo
PSP homebrew developer charnold has come out with a rather impressive tech demo of his Dungeon Engine 2. The PSP Gallery Demo shows off the improvements that were made to the engine such as the rendering of of colored lightmaps and more complex 3D objects (as compared to the original build)
ASLIV ASLIV
Developer's note:
You know, I always hate it when I'm on my PSP and I have to see an image without my Computer. So I decided to make a little homebrew that'll help me with that.
It's written in C and very basic. It can load PNG, JPG/JPEG, BMP and TIF/TIFF images. And also TTF fonts. Press Select button to quit
TIFF PSPeriodic TIFF PSPeriodic
Propel mentioned a few days ago that he won't be updating anymore the PSPeriodic application. It was actually alright to leave the project at that moment as improvements and corrections were already done to it. It was working, as we've said, perfectly fine. Today Propel came out not with an update but a TIFF version of PSPeriodic.
For fw2
ASIV ASIV
Developer's note:
Hey, I updated my image viewer. Now it supports two more image formats: TGA and GIF =D
That brings us to a grand total of 6 different formats:
1. PNG
2. GIF
3. TGA
4. TIF/TIFF
5. JPG/JPEG
6. BMP
what I hope to accomplish for the next version:
1. new browser with intraFont
2. 3d background
3. support for opentype fonts
4. no bugs

ASIV ASIV
Developer's note:
Okay, today I added one interesting feature; a config file where you put int the startup directory of ASIV. It's by default set to ms0:/ you can change that manually to anything you want. So in theory, you could also browse your flash and/or umd disc. I've also added compatibility for .PCX images
PSP Flash Image Gallery 0.5 PSP Flash Image Gallery 0.5
Well, I don't know whether I should be happy with this announcement or not. On one hand, Sony has totally blocked homebrew with their new firmware 2.7 and upwards. But on the other hand, the Flash player has given homebrew developers a chance to add tiny tidbits of functionality. Anyways, I'll leave the Sony bashing for another day
Xploren's ImageViewer Open Xploren's ImageViewer Open
This one's for the new guys - the aspiring programmers who have the guts to try and see what they can do for the PSP and DS. It's thanks to guys like them that we get to experience the innovations we enjoy seeing with every new homebrew
TruPhoto TruPhoto
A whole new way to look.
There's no readme included, basically because I'm too lazy after finishing this. So listen up close if you wanna know what you are doing.
TruPhoto is intended to eventually be able to completely replace the built-in photo viewer
