There are homebrew games for the Sony PlayStation Portable, and then there are homebrew games for the Sony PlayStation Portable. Game & Watch Fantasies by homebrew developer Mia is clearly the latter, with a very quirky main character and a very quirky puzzle-platforming mechanic to boot. And in this update, we get a dose of what's new with the latest version - that is, version 2.0.
So, what IS new with Game & Watch Fantasies? Plenty. Here's the unedited changelog from the release post:
* New levels, some of them with LCD digits as platforms.
* New music: Beyond Love by Fat Jon, one of my favorite music artists.
* Title and pause menus, with some options.
* Auto-save feature: you can now quit the game at any time, and continue later.
* Easy mode: "Moon" gravity (change in the pause menu).
* Minor adjustments.
Not only do we get a lot of new content, but also a neat Auto-save feature that lets us quit the game at any time, and then continue right where we left off. Definitely handy and convenient, for those of us who seem to get interrupted every few moments whenever we get a handheld in our hands.
