Mathfacts has sent in a Lua retro styled vector game titled 'Boxed In' for his entry into QJ.net's Summer Coding Competition. In this game you start with 5 ships and have to shoot the moving blocks to change them into the target color. You can pass through blocks that are your ships color without blowing up, but cannot pass through blocks that are another color. Sound too easy? Of course, that isn't it!
Whilst shooting blocks and moving up through the level you also have to keep an eye on the timer because if it reaches zero your ship will be destroyed. The game also has it's own wildcard - the UFO. This UFO can blow up your ship or change the color of blocks so that you cannot safely pass through them. Your score is determined by the number of seconds remaining on the
timer multiplied by the wave number. High scores are saved on the game so you can try your best to beat your mates! The download comes packaged with 1.5 Eboots so Lua Player is not required.
Controls:
X = shoot
square,up = thrust
O = hyperspace
left,right = rotate ship
triangle = spawn ship
analog = rotate ship
