  Portable VNC

ZX-81 is on a roll! Only minutes after giving us an update on TI-92 Calculator emulator PSPXTI, he's now bringing us a spanking hot version of Portable VNC, boosted to version 1.2.5. PSP application Portable VNC is very popular among long-time PSP homebrew users for allowing us to access our PC desktop via our PSP from any place using a Wi-Fi connection. Unfortunately for those stuck on the latest Sony PSP firmware and for those who chose to use lower firmwares, this version is only available for users of Dark Alex's custom firmwares.

Portable VNC includes IR keyboard support based on the work of Harald Fielker, the author of the PSP IR Keyboard Library. It also features the Danzeff virtual keyboard which in turn is based on the Danzel code. PSPVNC is based on the PalmOS VNC client and is from NHD from TeamXos. With that cleared, we now give you version 1.2.5's changelog straight from ZX-81:

* Real hostname are now supported in the configuration menu! It should be usefull if you want to connect to your PC from anywhere and if you have a dynamic IP. Of course you can still specify a static IP address
* IR Keyboard is now active in all menus
* New keyboard mapping (previous one was very confusing)
* Display help on keys to use for each menu

Again, we're reminding you that Portable VNC is being distributed under the GNU license. If you want to modify or add to the program, you can download the source code in the article. ZX-81's also warning us that the "host configurations file generated with previous versions are NOT compatible" with this release.

Portable VNC 1.2.8 CFW 3.x It's been a while since we've seen any activity from zx-81's Portable VNC homebrew app for the PlayStation Portable. However, the developer recently dropped by our PSP Development forum and informed us that Portable VNC v1.2.8 was already up and available for download

Portable VNC zx-81 has just updated Portable VNC. It seems he missed a couple of features in his previous release. And as always, it works on all firmwares (Barring 2.7 of course!) Here's the small changelog: * Modify wifi connection handler to work on 1
WiFi ControllerWiFi Controller
WiFi Controller After a bit of a hiatus, PSP homebrew developer David Rudie has returned with updated versions of his WiFi Controller homebrew application for Sony's handheld console. This time around, Rudie has done a bit of fixing and has cleared up some of the confusion behind a .exe file
PSPBMC 2.08PSPBMC 2.08
PSPBMC 2.08 Hagaeatama has updated PSPBMC, a Bookmark forwarding tool for the PSP and your PC. My Japanese is pretty rusty so I can't give the usage instructions, but suffice to say that you don't need to be a rocked scientist to use it. The only thing that's fixed is the delete function. If you're japanese, have fun with it. If you're not, well keep waiting
PC2PSP Source CodePC2PSP Source Code
PC2PSP Source Code  Coder extraordinaire Sanguinus has just rolled out yet another release for his homebrew PSP app, PC2PSP. Just in case you weren't able to catch the previous version, or this is your first time to hear about this app, it basically allows you to "view a 480x272 area ,around the cursor on your PC,on your PSP." PSPSSH Developer zx81 is a bit busy on the Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew front recently. After configuring PSPIRC for 3.80/3.90 custom firmwares, dev zx81did the same to another homebrew project: PSPSSH. Dev zx-81's PPSSSH is a homebrew application which lets you connect to your PC from far away
PSPVNCPSPVNC
PSPVNC  zx81 never fails to amaze us! Within a few minutes of releasing PSPFTPD, he has now released an updated version of PSPVNC, another kickass homebrew application. It allows you to control your PC using your PSP. It seems that the DHCP bug must've been troubling both PSPFTPD and PSPVNC, since the only fix in this updated version is that DHCP bug
