Developer Torch dropped us a line earlier to announce the release of Lockdown v3.0. For those asking, Lockdown is a homebrew application that enables you to password-protect your PSP.
This app also protects your handheld's Recovery Menu, ensuring that gaining access to it is anything but easy. This new build will feature improved memory usage, and will now enable its users to customize its GUI.
Lockdown v3.0 was tested on a PSP Slim running on CFW 3.90M33-3, and should also work on the PSP Phat. Those interested in downloading this homebrew will want to access the file bundle's readme for proper installation and usage details.
Loading this app will involve accessing your PSP's flash0, which may lead to bricking if you're not careful. Those interested leaving their feedback regarding Lockdown will want to visit Torch's release thread at the QJ.NET PSP Development Forum.
