Tick-tock goes the clock, bang-boom goes the homebrew scene. In a matter of days, The Underminer has updated his game and has now released Special Operations v0.2 for firmwares 1.0 and 1.5. Hailing inspiration from the tan-lined Sam Fisher, his Splinter Cell homebrew will allow you to not just walk the walk (in this case, "sneak the sneak") through levels of, well, special operations. The game has a Level Editor in which you can create your own side-scrollers to share with your friends.
30-10-06 v0.2 changelog:
* Added screenshot feature (press Select button)
* Fixed jumping issues
* improved shooting. Almost all enemies can be shot now.
* improved memory issue
* Fixed level corruption
* Added levels 6 and 7
If you need the controls, take a look at the readme. It's all there. He suggests that if you guys would create your own levels, it would be great if you could send it to him so that he could include them in future versions. He's also even thinking about a WLAN download service so that we can download these levels.

Eaten Eaten
PSPownage has released a new game for the PSP. His game has the basis set on worms and birds, however I fail to see the resemblance in the in-game graphics. Basically your role as a worm (red square) is to dosge all the birds (blue square). Every bird you touch, your health goes down, once you reach 0 you die
Poke the Penguin Poke the Penguin
Eventually, we at QJ, out-poke ourselves with the non-retaliating penguin and we found ourselves wanting something more out of it, much like what happened to PSP-Maniac. After porting B4k4Zombie's original into C, he's now back with some mean updates - literally

Altair from our forums has updated REDaLUA, a Red Alert clone. And this game looks freakin awesome! There are a few bugs, and some unfinished stuff, but once it gets all its bases covered, I'm sure it'll be something to look forward to.

There have been a lot of studies already about how videogames provide escape from the real world. They make people forget about life's harsh realities by immersing the gamer to make-believe worlds and situations. Whichever it is, videogames deconstruct and transform our brief lives
