IF YOU UPGRADE TO THIS FIRMWARE VERSION YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY HOMEBREW. However, you can downgrade back down to 1.50 by using the MPH downgrader tool found in our Hacks&Exploits section.
This is the 1.52 firmware for PSP. To upgrade from a lower firmware version to this version, unzip the file and place the included EBOOT.PBP file on the memorystick at this location: MS:PSPGAMEUPDATEEBOOT.PBP
The update is then started from the Game --> Memory Stick menu item.
Features in this firmware version include:
- Homebrew can NOT be played on this firmware version
- 1.52: Except the ability to play UMD Music in the main menu, which we hadn't even noticed was a problem -- the only UMD Music release scheduled for America, Eagle Rock's PSP Video Collection, isn't due until later this year). There are additional security updates in 1.52.
