Having trouble running the latest build of Red_Squirrel's Alternative VSHMenu on your PSP Slim? Don't worry, it's not just you.
The developer visited the QJ Forums earlier to indicate that a bug was detected with the homebrew's version 4.1. This bug would cause the handheld to suddenly reboot when used simply meant to close the application.
In line with the bug report, Red-Squirrel is announcing the release of Alternative VSHMenu v4.2, which should address this problem. That's just about the only update for this build, though the Slim owners will certainly appreciate this fix.
As a recap, this homebrew is an alternative for the M33 VshMenu, and comes with other extras such as giving your the ability to change your background color, set your handheld to sleep mode, and take screenshots of the XMB.
Full details on installing and running Alternative VSHMenu ar available in the file bundle's readme, though we also encourage the readers to visit Red_Squirrel's thread at the Qj.NET PSP Development Forums to post their feedback.
