Before anything else, might we (and the developer himself) warn you: use this at your own risk. When you're talking about trying to access and write onto the flash memory, you always have to make sure you know what you're doing. You could end up with a brick.
Moving on, hallo007's Flash Agent homebrew has gotten quite a couple of revisions already. Today, he's now tagged his homebrew flashing application to revision D2. This app allows you to flash custom gameboots, topmenu_plugin files, and fonts onto your PSP - much like how X-Flash works.
Here's the changelog for Flash Agent revision D2:
* checks used space on flash0 (thnx to ART)
* checks free space on flash0 and displays it
* checks file space
* some text bugs fixed
* battery level show
* music when start-up
* main-menu updated
* shows psp-alias while start-up

This program can be used to make 2.0 PSPs 'trick' the firmware into thinking it is really a higher version, allowing 2.0 owners to play some games that require the 2.6 firmware. You run the risk of bricking your PSP with this program, and there are still 2.6 games that aren't playable yet
IDStorage Manager IDStorage Manager
Homebrew developer Chilly Willy has just rolled out a new build for utility application IDStorage Manager that brings it up to version 1.2. Definitely a welcome release since the last update this program had was way back in March. Unzip the archive to your memory card so the files go in PSP/SAVEDATA/ULUS10041S0 if you're installing the US version, PSP/SAVEDATA/ULES00151S0 for the UK version. This replaces the first game save on the card.

from Hellcat:
What is this? And why?
- Flashes a fresh M33 CFW (3.71, 4.01, 5.00)
for recovering semi-bricks or to up-/downgrade CFW
- does not use Pandora, runns from the recovery menu or the XMB
- does not use (as in launch) the original Sony Updater (only extracts
all required files from the original .PBP)
- runns fine on CFWs lower than 3
